New Moon In Leo - The Big Cats Rule!
You guys are probably saying, "Hey, what gives?"

Well, I have been selling my house and building a new business, but I still want to apologize to my readers for taking sooooooooo long.

As I have said in the past, whenever we are going from an old moon to a new moon,
-- which happens once a month -- this is a good time for clearing out and letting go.
The particular issues related to this past Full Moon was the Home versus the Career, and emotions versus disciplines, and Mother versus Father.
The Sun was in Cancer (ruling the Home)
and it was opposing the Moon in Capricorn
(ruling Career and Business).
So, Goodbye Home Sweet Home! Hello My New Life and Career!

Leo is ruled by the Sun, and the Sun loves being the center of attention!
Of course, that is it's destiny, because the Sun is the source of light and life on our planet.
But when the Sun, which rules the Heart, is blocked by the Moon, which rules the emotions,
or when we have a SOLAR ECLIPSE - it feels like the Light of the Sun (Our Life Force) is hidden --
People have seemed very overwhelmed by their emotions today.
Leo also relates to the Heart, so this is a good time to get down to the Heart of the Matter - (to quote an old song...)

Round and Round and Round We Go! Mercury Retrograde!
THE MOST IMPORTANT ASTROLOGICAL EVENT GOING ON RIGHT NOW - TA DA!:
SORRY - NO - YOU CAN'T AVOID IT - YES, IT'S MERCURY RETROGRADE!
Mercury actually began it's Retrograde (Backward Motion) on May 26th and will end on June 19th.
It was followed by the New Moon in Gemini on June 3rd, (which was also my mother's 87th birthday. Happy Birthday, Mom!)
Gemini is the Sign of the Twins.
So, THIS Mercury Retrograde has been DOUBLY strong, since Mercury is currently transitting in the Sign of Gemini, which Mercury rules!
Gemini is associated with all things related to Siblings, Friendships, Childhood Education, Short Trips, Cars, Radios, Computers, and just general all round communication! Be careful what you say! And back up your hard drive!
Also, you may have noticed - your Mind cannot stop Thinking, Thinking and Thinking!
Mercury is related to the Mind - The Messenger of the Gods.
Plus, Neptune is also retrograde in Aquarius -
AND, since Gemini is an AIR sign, and Aquarius is an AIR sign,

So, with Mercury, Neptune, Pluto, and Jupiter all appearing to be going backwards right now, are you feeling a little "Stuck" or that Life has taken a U-turn, especially financially?

This is a good time to clear away and release what is not useful in your life.
I myself have had to let go of Comcast Cable, Audible Books, Netflix, the Mayan Healthy Chocolate Business, and other subscriptions to services that no longer served me. I have simplified my life greatly.
You can always review what Mercury Retrogrades are about by reading my previous blogs on them.
Mercury is also know as the "Trickster", because the mind likes to play tricks on us.
So, in short, Re-member that Mercury Retrograde is a time that takes place 3x a year, usually for 3 weeks.
I believe it is God's way of saying "Re-view, Re-flect, Re-connect, Re-charge your batteries, Re-Invent Yourself." It is NOT a good time for buying a car, or new cell phone, or anything electronic.
It is not a good time for starting a new business, getting married, or signing a contract!
Ooops! Lots of people usually get married in June! Well - This is a good reason for consulting an Astrologer first!
Although Mercury Retrograde ends on June 19th, the effects of it's "Storm" will last until June 28th.
The Full Moon in Sagittarius will be on Wednesday June 18th.
This is when the Sun In Gemini ("I think") opposes the Moon in Sagittarius ("I seek") - so many people will be looking at the meaning of their lives, and whether it adds up to their vision of themselves.
Oh - and not to forget - Happy Father's Day, on Sunday, June 15th!

The Sun In Taurus - To Have and Have Not
Beloved Readers:
I apologize for not having written a blog since the last Full Moon, which was almost 3 weeks ago!
I always try to write a blog for the New Moon and the Full Moon at least, but I missed writing about the New Moon in Taurus - which was on Monday, May 5th - Cinco de Mayo!
The Next Full Moon will be this coming Monday, May 19th, 2008. It is very interesting that it will be another Full Moon in Scorpio - Opposing the last degrees of the Sun in Taurus. This is a Very Rare occurrence.
It is as if God were saying, "Did you get that lesson about I Have (Taurus) and I Desire (Scorpio) - or, in other words, are you Desiring what you Have?" If not, what are you doing about it?
The Full Moon will be at 29 degrees of Scorpio - so it will be in a Void -
which means there may be great Financial Stress in the world that day.
However, since it is taking place at 9:12 pm CST on Monday, May 19th, 2008, we may not notice the problems
until Tuesday...

In the mean time, here we are, in the time of year related to the Sun in the Sign of Taurus -
the Personal Money Sign!
The Law of Prosperity says that if you are truly peaceful, resting in your own bliss, and experiencing your own divinity, then prosperity flows gently, easily and quickly to you, just as easily as the money falling from the sky!
See how peaceful this little bull is?
And look at all the money falling from the Sky! I never get tired of this picture! 
Taurus is the sign related to one's personal Cash - but it also relates to one's personal values -
So, what do you value in your life? - Cash is only a symbol of abundance - it is not true abundance.
Abundance is state of awareness that All Is Well In This Very Moment.
There are many people who have lots of cash and do not experience that peace and serenity -
that is because true prosperity is inside of us.
Since Taurus's Statement is "I Possess, or I Have," I would like to point out
two very prominent Historical figures who exemplify the extremes of
Taurus - Non-Possession and Non-Attachment and Extreme Possession and Attachment!
The Buddha was a Taurus, born on May 16th. Happy Birthday, Buddha!
One of his primary teachings was that "Attachment is the Root of All Suffering."
He was a wealthy prince who gave up all of his worldly possessions to attain enlightenment.
So - He realized that it is not THINGS, but ATTACHMENT to THINGS that causes suffering.
The Buddha discovered through meditation on God, and quieting one's mind, one becomes free of Attachment, and when you experience the fullness of God in every moment, you no longer "need" anything.
Then, Jesus came and said, "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of Heaven, (Inner Peace and Stillness) and all else will be added unto you." Matthew 6:24-33.
So, what are you focusing on - the outer world? (Chaos and Drama) or the inner world? (The Kingdom of Heaven)
Now, on the opposite end of the Spectrum:
There was another Historical Figure who embodied the EXTREME Possessive Side of Taurus -
Did you know that Adolf Hitler was a Taurus? - He was born on April 20th, right on the cusp of Aries and Taurus!
Hitler constantly screamed about his attachment to possessions! Very few images of him show him as being anywhere close to peaceful. All he wanted was Land, Land and More Land! And he wanted absolute power and dominion over people. And, as everyone who studies history knows, he caused alot of suffering and ended up with nothing!
(Note: I am not posting his picture because it vibrates such negative energy!)
Finally, I would like to add another Taurus birthday being celebrated this week:
My favorite Taurus - another great spiritual teacher, Baba Muktananda,
who was also born on May 16th, Buddha's Birthday!
(He left his body on October 2, 1982 - Mahatma Ghandi's Birthday.)

Jesus also said, "For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him." Matthew 13:12 - New Standard Bible.
I believe he was referring to one of the Fundamental Laws of Prosperity and Attraction, which is:
"Whatever thoughts you think, that is what you create in your world. Change your thoughts and you change your world."
All the prosperity consciousness that I have learned has come from these inspiring teachers:
The movie, "The Secret"; the Abraham-Hicks Book "Ask and It is Given"; Charles Fillmore, (The Founder of Unity) Catherine Ponder and Edwene Gaines (both Unity Ministers and Prosperity Masters), Starr Fuentes, Deepak Chopra, and many other Teachers' of Prosperity Consciousness.
When you experience abundance consciousness on a deep, emotional level, and constantly remind yourself "I am an abundant child of God - the Universe is filled with wealth and prosperity. There is enough to go around. I am enough, I have enough, and I experience love and joy and prosperity in every moment - everything I need is given to me."
These types of affirmations set into motion the Law of Attraction, and this is how more IS added unto you - simply by your joy and enthusiasm! Wealth comes to you in the form of new people, beautiful environments, and being happy in your own skin.
On the OPPOSITE side of the spectrum, when you constantly complain of lack, and only focus on how terrible the world is, and how some have and some have not, this creates a separating principle that blocks you from God, from the Source.
When you are living in such a state of mind, then, even if you lived in a wealthy palace, you could not truly experience your riches. We see this is the lives of the Rich and Famous all the time! Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears are good examples.
Just standing on top of a pile of cash seems pretty empty, if you don't experience peace within.
Abundance is a state of consciousness, based on an attitude of gratitude.
We have all heard the expression, "There is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow."
Well, when you look at this photograph of a rainbow this glorious, which has been going around the Internet, you can say "WOW - The Rainbow Itself IS the Pot of Gold!"
One final thought: There is a deadly disease called Tuberculosis, which attacks the Lungs. Even today, 1/3 of the world's population is infected.
Tuberculosis used to be called "Consumption" - because it seemed to consume people from within." It is the disease which has also killed many a female soprano in several Famous Operas, including "La Boheme" and "La Traviata". So, I encourage everyone to BREATHE these days!
Consume comes from the Latin roots "com" - which means "with" - and "summa" - which means "the highest."
Consumed and consumable goods means that which can be destroyed, dissipated, wasted and spent.
So, it is ironic that we talk about eating as consuming also.
Taurus also rules the Throat - so, what are you consuming, mr. and ms. consumer?
Are you being consumed by your negative thoughts? What types of expressions are you speaking out to the Universe. Why not change them?
AND, Guess what the latin word for Tuberculosis is? "MY-CO-BACTERIA!"
Amazing - Especially when you know that we are co-creators in our lives, isn't it interesting that we can even Co-create Disease?
On a current note:
I have been enjoying my new office, which I call "The Zodiac Cafe" in the Cosmic Connections Bookstore. I am finally doing the work I feel called to do for years.
Now I eat, sleep, and breathe Astrology. I feel so connected to this ancient art and science in ways I have never experienced before. It's amazing - Simply by putting up a "Shingle" of my own, saying "ASTROLOGER" - it is as if the Universe has rushed in to support me! I love teaching classes and giving readings.
I am located across the street from Belmont University right off Belmont Blvd. It is a great location.
I am also participating in the Galactic Expo at Nashville's Tennesee Fairgrounds off Murfreesboro Road this weekend.
I will be teaching a class on Sunday at 11 am on Planetary Hours - God's Time and How to use it more wisely!

Full Moon In Scorpio - What Do You Desire?
And So, we come full circle - Last October 26th, 2007 I wrote a blog about the Full Moon in Taurus.That was when the Sun was in Scorpio and the Moon was in Taurus -
It is this opposition which creates a Full Moon. So perhaps this information will sound very familiar.
The axis is the same.
Now, it is 6 months later, and the Sun is in Taurus and the Moon is in Scorpio -
creating the flip side of that Full Moon in October!
This is a picture of the Peaceful, Quiet Taurus the Bull Chewing on it's cud contentedly in the fields.
And THIS is the picture of Taurus after someone has waved a red flag in front of them,
or after someone has taken something of value away from them!
The Sun recently went into Taurus on Saturday, April 19th, and it is the Sign relating to Personal Values, and Possessions. Taurus rules the 2nd House, the House of Personal Finance.
Taurus is ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love and Money. Venus is represented by Spirit resting on the Cross of Matter. So, Venus is the part of us that seeks comfort and security. She represents our personal values and the natural attracting principle in us.
If you write a Gratitude List, it opens your heart, and you become irristable.
Also, if you do what you Love, the Money will Follow. Trust Me.
Money is Energy. It flows easily and gently when you simply are in Gratitude.
I just came back from a wonderful retreat with Edwene Gaines, prosperity master,
in Valley Head, Alabama - some of the affirmations we learned is:
"I am a millionaire because I give a million dollars worth of service to the world."
"I serve God. Money serves me."
Edwene says that every piece of money printed in the United States,
including the coins, all contain a prayer, "In God We Trust."
Could this be why our country is so wealthy?
Taurus has the statement - "I Have." So, are you grateful for everything that you have?
When Taurus is not happy with what they have, then they are like the Bull in the China Shop.
Scorpio is the Opposing sign dealing with Other People's Money, Banks,
Financial Institutions, Wall Street, and the IRS!
Scorpio has the statement - "I Desire." So, What Do You Desire?
This is the axis between looking at what you have, and cultivating an attitude of Gratitude, and then looking at what you desire and going after that. Let go of what no longer serves your desires over the next two weeks.
I manifested a desire that I have had for many years this past week.
On Sunday, April 13th, 2008, at 2 pm, during a SUN HOUR on a SUN DAY, with the Moon in Leo (my sign) - I opened an office - "The Zodiac Cafe - A Place to Feed Your Soul." Twelve people showed up! Twelve for the Twelve signs of the Zodiac! I plan to teach classes and give readings.
And this was even though the weather was cold and rainy and I gave only one day's notice to announce the Opening. There were even police barriers on my street due to the Country Music Awards! Talk about overcoming obstacles!
This blog is talking alot about Money because of Taurus and Scorpio., the two money signs.
Money is currency - it flows like currents from one heart to another.
In Feng Shui, water is money. Containing the water is very important in your house. Put Toilet Seats Down and Close the drains when you are not using them.
Miracles come in my life in many strange and unexpected ways - Last year, there was a woman named Mary Grace who came to Unity Church for Positive Living.
She had learned the method of blessing the water from Dr. Emoto, who wrote the "Hidden Messages in Water" - He was the man who worked with Water Crystals and showed how thoughts affected them. His work was shown in the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?"
Well, Mary Grace had our church group hold bottled water with blessings in the form of stickers on the bottles during the workshop.
Then we poured all the water bottels into a large glass carafe, so that it could be poured into a
Lake to bless the Water System of Nashville.
I am the one pouring the blessed water in the photo below. What is amazing is that the water formed a CM
(for Christina Malone?) very clearly in the middle as I poured!
So, is water intelligent? Yes, I think so - and so is the Universe!

New Beginnings - New Moon in Aries!
New Moons are great for starting things. If you have been feeling slightly tired the past 2 weeks, chalk it up to the Waning (deflating) Moon, going from the Full moon in Libra to the New Moon in Aries. I am not going to go into a long explanation of Aries, since I did that in the last Entry. In Short, Aries Statement is "I AM!" Here is a new graphic of it -- this is a little more sedate little ram...
A New Moon takes place this weekend - and it takes place whenever the Sun and Moon are together in the same sign.
Right now both Sun and Moon are in Aries, and since Aries is a Fire Sign, this New Moon might be a doozy!
I am hearing Jerry Lee Lewis singing "Goodness, Gracious, Great Balls of Fire!"
Speaking of Great Balls of Fire, during the week before Easter, I read an article about a Star that exploded half way across the Universe. It did not say half way across our Milky Way Galaxy, but millions of light years beyond that!
Just think of how long ago the actual explosion took place, for the light of that event to be reaching us NOW --It is staggering! This Star's energy burst forth and took place when our universe was half it's current age...
The sight of it only lasted a short while, so it did not get alot of News Coverage. I thought I should give it at least what it is due - a little more than 15 minutes of fame!

"The explosion of a star halfway across the universe was so huge it set a record for the most distant object that could be seen on Earth by the naked eye.

One Light Year is 5.9 Trillion Miles."
Whenever I read things like this, I feel very small sometimes in the face of how huge our universe is and how vast and unchartered it is. That is why I like to look at the Stars so much - I feel very close to God.

Happy Easter! Happy Spring! Happy Sun In Aries - The Birth of the Great "I AM"!
Every year, the Sun travels around the entire Zodiac, bringing us the Change of Seasons.
When the Sun returns to the beginning of the Natural Zodiac, it enters Sign of Aries!
When the Sun enters Aries, it begins the cycle of life all over again, which we call the Vernal Equinox,
or the Birth of Spring.
I think the First Day of Spring should truly be our REAL NEW YEAR. It FEELS like New Life is bursting forth everywhere!
Even the Symbol for Aries looks like a Fire Cracker!
Now - If you look at a Natural Zodiac as a Huge Cosmic Clock, Aries represents the Sunrise -
that first spark of life.
Aries statement is "I AM". Some people think this refers to the EGO (little "i") -
But it actually relates to the Great "I AM"!
Look at this little Ram Jumping for Joy!
Now, isn't it wonderful that the early Christians chose this time of the year to celebrate Easter?
It looks like Jesus is coming out of the Tomb, saying "Here I AM!"
The Re-Birthing of Life in Spring is a perfect time for the Story of the Resurrection.
And since Aries statement is "I AM" -
it is also the perfect time to celebrate the One who gave us the
greatest expression of the "I AM" consciousness -- Jesus Christ.
We have always heard these words that Jesus said, "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life."
Jesus was GOD - so, why would he need to refer to his small human identity, as the "i am"?
Many people are coming to realize a different meaning to his words through Meditation --
Perhaps Jesus actually came to teach us that we are all the Universal, Limitless, Eternal "I AM" Principal -
It is sometimes called "Christ Consciousness" -
that place of existence where we are all ONE with God, with our Source.
This same Universal, Limitless, Eternal "I AM" exists within all beings, at all times,
is always alive and never dies! YAHOO!
Can't you just imagine yourself bursting out of your own Tomb of Fear and Death into a Ball of Light?
YEEHAA!
Jesus came to Model the Truth of who we are - by demonstrating His own Mastery over Matter, over the Elements, over Dis-Ease, and finally over Death itself!
Jesus showed us that we are not born to be limited by this Ego, this Body, this Mind, or anything else that the Earth Plane limits us by.
We are here to experience Eternal Life, the "I AM." Thank You, God!
Of course, the Easter Bunny with all his colorful Easter Eggs fits nicely into the Re-birthing Story, too!
So, now we see the cycle of life continue,
with the new budding flowers and birds signifying Spring, the end of the dead Winter.
By following the rhythms and cycles of Nature, we can truly feel Blessed by ALL these experiences --
Death and Re-birth, Loss and Gain, Breaking Down and Re-building --
the Ebb and Flow of the tides, the Rise and Fall of the Moon.
This Spring Equinox, March 20, 2008, when the Sun goes into the Sign of Aries,
will be followed the next day -- Good Friday! --
by the Full Moon, which is always in the Opposite Sign, so this time it will be a Full Moon in Libra.
This Full Moon will be a time to consider the Axis between the "I Am" consciousness - who I truly AM -
and who "We Are"- the collective consciousness.

They seem to be blasting through all our collective concepts, egos, and ideas of who we think we are.
This is a significant time for letting go of the old Ego-centered "i am" (the little i)
and spend more time breathing in and out in the peace and serenity of the BIG "I AM" -
that place in us that never dies...

New Moon in Pisces - The Great "AAAAAAhhhhh"
On Friday, March 7th, the Sun and Moon came together, after 2 weeks apart, to create a New Moon in the beautiful water sign of Pisces. Pisces is represented by two fish going in opposite directions. One is swimming upstream, one is swimming downstream.
This is the symbol for Pisces. It looks like two mirrors held together by string. Like we are being split in two perhaps?
I hear a great "AAAAAAhhhh" in the Universe, like we are all taking a collective deep breath, and releasing it like a huge sigh.
This could be a sigh of relief,
or a it could be a sigh of fear - "AAGGGGHHH! - I can't take it anymore!"
Take a deep breath and let it out.... Let Go and Let God!
I have been attending Weekend Retreats with Edwene Gaines, a wonderful teacher and Prosperity Master, who lives in Valley Head, Alabama -- about 3 hours south of Nashville, TN - right near the Georgia border.
Her Rock Ridge Retreat site is truly Heaven on Earth. This land has been used for sacred ceremonies from the times of the Native Americans to the present.
It is a large farm with woods, fields and a beautiful labyrinth!

Oprah held the first Webcast with Eckhart Tolle called "A NEW EARTH" -- it was heard by thousands of people all over the world -
I believe this opened a big portal in the ethers and there was a shift in consciousness on many levels.

ANOTHER EVENT that took place last week was the
celebration of MAHASHIVARATRI, a sacred time honoring SHIVA in the Hindu Tradition.
I have been using the OM NAMAH SHIVAYA mantra for many years.
OM NA-MAH SHI-VA-YA - is Sanskrit for "I Honor The Divinity Within All"
It is called the great 5 syllable mantra - OM plus NA MA SHI VA YA
Here is what Om Namah Shivaya looks like in Sanskrit :
This Mantra is amazing - It encompasses all the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space (Ethers).
OM = The Universal Sound which all sounds emanate from.
NA = Earth
MAH = Water
SHI = Fire
VA = Air
YA = Space - the Ethers
This Mantra truly helps still the Mind.
And, with the Sun, Moon and Mercury and Venus soon coming into Pisces - the Final and 12th house of the Natural Zodiac - the House of Pisces - this is a great time for meditation!
Pisces Statement is "I BELIEVE." So, What do you Believe in?
The Sign of Pisces relates to Oceans, whether they be the Oceans of the Earth, or the Ocean of Consciousness, or GOD. So, this is a great time to connect with the GOD of your understanding.
The next two weeks will be great for MEDITATION and doing VISION WORK.
Try to get near some bodies of water! Here is another one of my Favorite places :

Being in Nature helps you to connect deeply with your Inner Self.
Pisces is connected with the subconscious mind, Dream World, Visions, Intuition, and Spiritual Communities such as Monasteries and Ashrams.
Pisces also has to do with imagination. Pisces is the12th House in Astrology - related to our Deepest Fears, Addictions, Illusions and Deceptions of Human Consciousness.
Pisces and the 12th House also reveals the Cures for these Dis-Eases - 12-Step programs, Therapy and Treatment Centers.
If you cannot get to a waterfall, a lake, or the ocean, then take a hot bath, drink hot tea, and lose yourself in a good movie. Pisces also relates to losing one's EGO self. Clear out some clutter and do some Spring Cleaning!
Do rituals that bring you joy - Chant, Burn Incense, Meditate.

YAHOO! Mercury Went Direct - (Followed By Full Moon Eclipse in Virgo - The "Serve or Suffer Axis!")
Well, Yes, ladies and gents, Mercury is back on track, and moving forward!
Of course, you know that Mercury never REALLY goes backwards during his retrograde,
but from Earth's point of view, which means us Human Beings,
he really does appear to be going backwards, then stands still, and goes forward again.
Here is the Happy Messenger of the Gods running on his merry way! Sexy, isn't he?
Now, even though things SEEM to be picking up after Mercury "changed course" on Monday, February 18th,
Just when we were getting comfortable, WHAM!
The Full Moon took place on Wednesday night, February 20th.
Don't you wish the planets would just leave us alone? Maybe give us a little vacation down here?
NAAAAHHH.. It Ain't gonna happen!
AND, since THIS Full Moon also included a very powerful TOTAL ECLIPSE, it was an awesome sight to watch.
(I was blessed to watch it on a very crystal clear sky night in Nashville, TN.)
The Moon was in the sign of Virgo, and Saturn is also in Virgo, so it was a spectacular sight to see the two of them dancing together in the sky.
For those who missed it --
The Moon started to disappear, and when the Eclipse was Complete, the moon turned BLOOD RED.
It stayed like that for an hour - and then the light slowly, slowly started to come back.
I actually broke down and cried when it disappeared, like some primal fear was awakened.
"What if she doesn't come back?" I worried. Even though my Modern Mind told me she would.
I felt what the ancient cultures must have felt - like we lost our "Mother" temporarily.
The Moon rules the tides of the earth, the fluids of our body, nurturing, the breasts, the stomach, and our emotional natures, so it felt like for that one hour when she was gone, our emotions were in the dark as well.
To add to this, The FULL MOON was in the Sign of Virgo! The Sun had just gone into the sign of Pisces, so a Full Moon is when the Moon is in the opposite sign from the Sun!
Virgo is also seen as the Sign of The Mother. The Harvest or Earth Mother. The Dry, Desert Mother. Not like the Watery Cancer - Home Nurturer Mother.
Sometimes, Virgo can be very demure and self-conscious.
Virgo people are born late August - through mid-September - Autumn - Apple Picking time.
Virgo really likes order and cleanliness, and is very attentive to details of life. She can be meticulous and neat, but can also be very critical.
Virgo cares about the underdog and small pets.
She is also the sign related to all kinds of Service - which sometimes manifests in the professions of Nursing, and Office Work. She really prefers behind the scenes work, rather than being on stage, like Leo! (who was last month's Full Moon - GRRR or PURR - Remember?)

Yes, Saturn will be in Virgo for 2 years.
And Saturn has to do with restriction, limitation, facing reality, growing up - but I also consider it the planet of Wisdom.
So, seeing Saturn next to the Full Moon made it feel even more like my Emotions were being crushed.
Of course, even though Virgo can be shy, she can also be sexy.
Since Virgo is the sign of Health and Service, I hear Saturn saying,
"Take care of your health - Find some way in which you can serve and offer yourself to the world in this life."
One of the ways I like to serve is give people access to a very orderly meditation tool, called a Labyrinth.
I just added another photo montage of the Labyrinth in Burns, TN - this is the Labyrinth which inspired and helped design the labyrinth on my property.
Since I am selling my home in Donelson (along with my Labyrinth), it's nice to be able to move to another Labyrinth, and call that "home" for a year, while I travel around giving talks, workshops, and private readings. Do You Like To Dance? 2 Steps Forward, 1 Step Back!
Sometimes this dance feels a little like the Caucus Race in Alice in Wonderland!
...hmmm -- I wonder if that's where we got the idea of Presidential Caucuses from?
Or maybe this Universal Dance feels like the Lobster Quadrille from the same book by Lewis Carroll -
"Will You, Won't You, Will You, Won't You, Will You Join the Dance?
Will You, Won't You, Will You, Won't You, Won't You Join the Dance?"
So -- is your world spinning around - feeling slightly off balance? Does it feel like it may be going A little BACKWARDS?
Welcome to the very first Mercury Retrograde of the Year 2008! This is what the glyph looks like -
Wouldn't you say he looks like a guy with horns on his head? --
(Who maybe needs to take an aspirin for all the huges headaches he creates?) HA!
Well, I believe Mercury Retrograde is God's way of slowing us down. We are always in such a hurry,
pushing forward and moving to get ahead -- we need time to Re-view life, Re-flect on the Beauty around us, Re-connect with old friends, Re-charge our batteries, Re-Treat into Nature, Re-invent our selves, etc.
And -- instead of reaching for the MEDICATION, why not try a little MEDITATION instead?
OMMMMMMMMMMMMM............
Mercury is sometimes called the Trickster, because it is associated with the Mind, which constantly changes,
like the Element of Mercury (Quicksilver).
I like to think of Mercury as a Court Jester.
Sometimes we get so depressed, and it is because of our perceptions, or our expectations of the way we"Think" the world should be!
Our imagination can lead us into the pits of Despair, or it can also give us the ability to laugh at ourselves.
Yes, this Mercury Mind is really amazing - we can create entire worlds of Sorrow or Delight!
Just Remember - "A grateful heart cannot be broken!"
Keeping an attitude of gratitude no matter what will help alot. Your life will feel more abundant.
Keep repeating this affirmation - "There is no lack anywhere - the Universe is Filled with Abundance!"
Since the last posting on the Full Moon - 2 weeks have passed!
I actually took my own advice (for once!) - I slowed down and rested, and re-treated to the Mountains.
So much has happened Astrologically -- I can only sum it up with the above phrase --
"Two Steps Forward (Mars went Direct and New Moon took place) and One Step Back (Mercury went Retrograde!)"
Mercury went Retrograde on Monday, January 28th, (ends on Monday, February 18th)
This was followed by Mars going Direct on Wednesday, January 30th.
Then there was the increased energy of the New Moon in Aquarius, (when the Sun and Moon come together in the same sign) which actually became a solar eclipse, and took place on Wednesday, February 6th. So, there were two bursts of energy going forward and one going backward. Interesting twist, eh?
And Then! We had the Chinese New Year on Thursday, February 7th! Happy Year of the Brown Earth Rat!
Rats are very intelligent, determined and resourceful - think of Templeton in the book, "Charlotte's Web!"
Mars is a planet that is somewhat related to rats - Mars is the planet related to our physical drive, ambition and desire, and it has been Retrograde since November - (did you feel sluggish during the Holidays? Frustrated? Couldn't Move? Did you have a hard time expressing yourself?)
Well, now your energy should increase, but unfortunately, the Mercury mind is still spinning around backwards, obsessed with what to do! Patience - patience - patience!
And, since Aquarius has to do with New Ideas, Brilliance, Inspiration, Electricity,
it feels like we're being plugged into a cosmic wall socket - like getting Huge downloads of information from above!
Aquarius is the one who pours knowledge into the ethers.
On February 6th, the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Neptune, Chiron, and North Node were ALL in Aquarius - YIKES!
And, with Mercury Retrograde in the Sign of Aquarius, you may feel like you have been plugged into a Cosmic Computer Game!
Speaking of which, are you having Computer Problems? Last week, the entire building where I work
went through an electrical blackout. Our Server was down for about an hour.
I just lit a candle, smiled to myself, and said one of my favorite sayings during this time,
-- "Typical Mercury Retrograde!"
It really likes to shake things up - especially with Electronic Gadgets!
Unfortunately, with so many planets in AIR signs - (MARS in Gemini, and the others I mentioned in Aquarius) - this was also a terrible week of Tornados, especially all around the Central states, such as Tennessee, which is where I live.
Our Prayers and hugs go out to all those who suffered from the storms.
Aquarius is the sign which the Sun goes through from the end of January through late February) so this is the COLDEST time of the year in the northern hemisphere...
And All these planets in Aquarius may make us more emotionally detached -- maybe even feel frozen emotionally, but this may be a good thing - for, when we are not drowning in emotions, it's a good time to crystalize our thoughts!
During this time, I strongly recommend that you take hot baths, followed by curling up with a good book, and a cup of hot coffee, tea, or hot chocolate!
One last thought:
I have always thought it ironic that, during the coldest time of the year, we celebrate the WARMEST of human emotions - LOVE! It's probably because this is the time we need it the most!

Full Moon In Leo - Grrrr or Purrr - But Drama City!
you have probably never quite experienced a FULL Moon like this, I am sure!
Ta Da - May I present - The FULL MOON IN LEO! It only happens once a year!
Leo is the Sign related to Drama, Theatre, Children, Creativity, Romance and Risk Taking.
Each sign has it's variety of things it relates to, and Leo likes everything on a Grand Scale.
It is a Fire Sign, and like it's Symbol, (the Lion), Leo likes being King of the Jungle,
King of the Castle, or King of the Playground!
(Ok, Ok - yes, it's a tiger, but it's still a big cat!)
And since Leos like to toot their own horn, (did you guess I might be one myself?)

We will also be torn between wanting to KNOW everything, and trusting God in the "not knowing."
