It's October and Fall is Here

So, here (finally) is my first blog cast.  I intend to do a weekly update of what is happening astrologically, and hope to utilize the PODCAST feature as well!

Right now, we are enjoying cooler weather as Fall approaches.  This is such a relief after a very hot summer, which was in part due to several planets in FIRE signs -- Sun in Leo, Venus in Leo, Saturn in Leo, Jupiter in Sagittarius, Pluto in Sagittarius (and occasionally the Moon in Leo or Aries or Sagittarius) -- in other words, with all the FIRE signs in the sky, we were really burning up!

Thank God the Astrological Weather has shifted, now that the Sun is in Libra, (Autumnal Equinox = beginning of Fall).  Also, Saturn went into Virgo a few weeks ago (it will be there for the next two years) and Mars went from being in Gemini, which is an Air Sign (which also adds to the combustion of fire!) and he will now be mellowing out at home in Cancer.

So, men (who are related to Mars energy) should be more emotional and less agressive for the next few weeks, while women are still expressing their creative flair with Venus in Leo!  "Overture, Hit the Lights, We've Got Nothing to Hit But The Heights!!"  Women are large and in charge right now.

Meanwhile, Mercury (which is connected to the mind) is going through some deep soul searching in the sign of Scorpio, so things may seem pretty intense for a while.  There will not be a lot of fluffy chit chat going on - there is more serious discussions on "what's it all about?" -- Scorpio likes to talk about Death and Dying and letting go of the old patterns that no longer serve you.

Whenever we have a Full Moon (like last Wednesday night, September 26th) the two week period following the full moon is always a good time for closure, and letting go (in whatever issues the Full Moon was relating too).  This past Full Moon was in Aries and was opposite the Sun in Libra.  So it relates to what we call the I versus WE axis; the I versus You; What is My Stuff, and What is Your Stuff; Mine Versus Thine; and How do I find out who I AM (Aries Statement), when I am in a relationship where I BALANCE (Libra's Statement) or WE ARE?  Ever wonder why so many couples take vacations now?

A Full Moon is also a time to regroup and rethink your life in preparation for the New Moon, which is always a good time to start new projects.   And, since going from an old moon to a new moon is like a deflating balloon, it is best to take more rest at this time.  And here I am needing to follow my own advice, because I'm finally getting around to writing this at 1:00 on Monday morning.  So, rest easy, and more will be revealed!

Love, Christina
