Will the Real New Year Please Stand Up?
OK this is a long one - so I hope you can find some TIME to read this one! Or read it a little bit at a TIME...
A few decades ago, there was a wonderful game show called “To Tell The Truth.” After a very confusing experience of trying to guess who the real guest star was, based on what they told the panel and the audience, the Host would finally ask “Will the Real (fill in the blank) please stand up?” It was so much fun to see who was really who they said they were.
This year will be alot about finding out who you really are and facing reality - big TIME!
You might notice in this blog, I am going to be talking alot about TIME...
And for those of you who have had a hard time getting around to your New Year’s Resolutions, I have good news! The New Moon (which many cultures consider the best time for new beginnings) actually took place
YESTERDAY, January 8, 2008 at
So, if you have kept up with this blog, you know that I like New Moons to start something new. It is like a double dose of Sun and Moon energy. Therefore, I would like to consider The New Moon the Real New Year.
But WAIT - there's More!
This month’s New Moon is in the sign of Capricorn, (because New Moons are when the Sun and Moon are in the same sign). So, Happy Birthday to all Capricorns! (That is your symbol above). And, if you notice my little AMAZON button (look to the left on the side bar next to this Blog), I have made it very easy for everyone to purchase their very own 2008 Daily Planetary Guide.
Now - You, Too! - can start preparing for the New Moons, Full Moons, Void Moons and Mercury Retrogrades! (I actually cross the Mercury Retrograde weeks off with a pen, so I don’t sign any contracts or start important projects during that time!) This is really a wonderful diary / calendar / crash course on Astrology. It explains the planets, the signs, the houses, and gives a weekly astro forecast (if you don’t read mine of course!) This is how I keep in touch with GOD’S TIME! By the way, have you ever seen God's Clock? See below...
Isn’t it interesting that the calendar we use these days is purely man made? The current calendar was actually first introduced by Julius Caesar in 46 BC and then changed by Pope Gregory XIII in the year 1582.
Anyhoo - Since TIME in the form of Modern Day Calendars are a creation of Man, and therefore not Real, nor does this man-made TIME give an accurate picture of TIME - you know Sunrise? Sunset? Seasons changing? Moon cyles, etc. It is simply a tool we use to relate to each other in this world, - we are living in Relative Time.
Then, to make things more confusing, in 1918, the
So, as the 1970’s band,
That's why I carry my Daily Planetary Guide every day. And Keep Smiling like the Sun!

Also, just in case you can't make your New Year's Resolution on the Gregorian Calendar Date of January 1, 2008, or the New Moon on January 8, 2008 - I have good news! I am going to give you some other New Years from other cultures, and other Celebrations to give you multiple chances to start your life over! Hence the Title of this Blog - "Will the Real New Year Please Stand Up?"

And if you even miss your New Year's Resolution THIS year, and perhaps you may sleep all the way through until 2012, no worries! The 26,000 year old Mayan Calendar ends in December 2012, and you can make a really big New Years Resolution when you start the entire world's evolutionary journey over again in the Mayan New Year January 2013!
HA!
Actually, I don't believe our beautiful Earth World will end - PHYSICALLY - but as Human BE-ings, we will be shifting our consciousness big TIME in the next few years. And I don't recommend waiting until 2012.
You can start today -- YOU CAN ALWAYS BE IN THIS DAY -- and take at least 12 minutes -- one for every sign of the Zodiac -- and sit in the silence, focusing on your breath, breathing in an breathing out. Every day, ask, "God, How May I BE of Service Today?" Then listen to that still small voice inside. That is a great resolution in ANY TIME.
OK, NOW for that 2008 New Year's Forecast!
There are a couple of Biggies in this year's Astrological Forecast to talk about this year, and I will talk about this in future blogs as well ...
OK -- DRUM ROLL -- FIRST BIGGIE -- I PRESENT THE PLANET SATURN - TADA!
Saturn's Glyph (seen below) truly represents how it FEELS in our Human Experience.
Saturn represents The Cross of Earth Limiting and Bearing Down on our Soul and Spirit.
Saturn will be transitting the sign of Virgo from 9/2/07 until 7/21/2010.
Saturn is also Retrograde (appears to be backwards) in Virgo 12/19/07 through 5/2/08.
Virgo is the Sign related to Health and Service. In the body, Virgo is associated with the Colon, and as most people know, if you don't have a healthy colon, you are NOT healthy - PERIOD. So, start eating more veggies, less fast food, and maybe get a colonic! No, I'm serious (Saturn does not mess around!)
Saturn and Mercury (ruler of Virgo) relates to the Ears and the organs of Hearing
(Listening to the needs of others will go far with serving humanity.)
Saturn represents the physical limits of our reality, our physical plane existence, which is governed by TIME. It is the furthest planet out in our Solar System that we can still see with the naked eye. So spiritually, it represents limitations, restriction, discipline, boundaries. (I think God put rings around it to make it appear bigger, just so we could not avoid seeing it!) In the same way, we cannot avoid facing reality, life on life's terms, the school of hard knocks. This Earth Plane is truly the School for the Soul.
Saturn, the Planet that rules the sign of Capricorn, was called FATHER TIME, (and was also spelled
Chronos, Kronos, and Cronus, which is where we get the word CHRON-ological and Syn-CHRON-icity from!)
In the body, Saturn is related to the physical limits and structure of the body -- the Skin (our personal boundaries), the Teeth, the Bones, and the Knees -- so, what brings you to your knees?

Saturn is also related to Governments, Corporations, Structures and Buildings.
And Capricorn's Statement is "I BUILD,"
So, what are you building with your life?
Are you building a Grass Hut?
or a Doll House?
Are you building a log cabin?
Or an Eskimo Igloo?

A Chinese Pagoda?
How about a Greek Temple?
Do you have a Home Sweet Home?
Or will you be moving into a New Home Sweet Home? ![]()

Saturn is also related to 7 year cycles, which doctors say is when the human being goes through the greatest changes -- supposedly every 7 years, we rebuild entire organs, and the most significant times of our lives come in 7 year cycles -- Age 7, 14, 21, 28, (this is called Our First Saturn Return -- that is, when the planet Saturn in the sky returns back by orbiting transit to the sign it was in when you were born -- This is a time that most people face Adulthood and Responsibility.) Then we go on to 35, 42, midlife 49, 56 - (Second Saturn Return - a time to earn Wisdom and Authority), 63, (retirement?) 70, 77, 84, (Third Saturn Return - a time we feel the limits of the body and face mortality, etc.)
Isn't it interesting that the Bible mentions 7 so often? And Jesus said, "Forgive your brother - not 7 times - but 70 TIMES 7!" That was the number of infinity to those in ancient times.
The SECOND BIGGIE: The second biggie of the year will be Pluto (yes, even though it may now be called a Dwarf planet, Pluto is still a big player on the Astrological Stage!) Pluto is a force to be reckoned with in any sign. But going into the Sign of Capricorn on January 25, 2008 will make more Physical changes to our earth, (Earthquakes, Volcanoes) as well as big changes in power - in our governments, changes our psychological structures, in everything we hold near and dear.
The Symbol for Pluto represents Spirit Leaving The Earth - It relates to Death of the Old and Transformation.

Doesn't this Capricorn Glyph look humbled?
Well, since Capricorn (which Saturn rules) has to do with TIME, I want to give you some Planetary perspectives:
The Earth takes ONE YEAR to go around the Sun, going through all 12 signs in the Zodiac.
The Moon goes through all 12 signs in the Zodiac in ONE MONTH.
Saturn takes 28 YEARS to go all 12 signs in the Zodiac and around the Sun
Pluto takes 248 YEARS to go through all 12 signs in the Zodiac and around the Sun.
So, all the Visible planets - Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn - yes, there are SEVEN of them - represent our personal experience of reality. Then, the Invisible planets - Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - represent the COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUSNESS. And, since these planets stay in a sign for so long, millions of people are born with these planets in the same signs. So these planets affect entire generations of people. They also stir up the hidden sides of life. If you watch the transits of Pluto throughout history, you can see that these correspond to the biggest shifts in Human Consciousness, as well as World Events and Dis-ease. When Pluto talks, the World listens, whether they know it or not!
Pluto was discovered by a Kansas farm boy working at the Lowell observatory in 1930 - which is the same decade the atom was split - so it made quite a big bang in the Astrological World. Pluto was named by an 11 year old British girl who loved Ancient Mythology, and she told her Astronomer Grandfather that she thought Planet X should be named after the ancient God of Death and the Underworld (Hades). Well, the name stuck! I will do more talks on the effects of Pluto in later blogs.
Right now, after being in the Sign of Sagittarius (the Sign of Religious Beliefs, Foreigners and Higher Learning) since 1994, Pluto is finally leaving Sagittarius and going into Capricorn on January 25, 2008 - and at first, it will dance back and forth and go back into Sagittarius for a short while, but then it will STAY in Capricorn until 2023 - 24. Yes - WOW. Pluto takes a LONG time to go through a sign. It obviously wants us to pay attention to what it can do!
During Pluto's Time in Sagittarius, we had books come out like the Da Vinci Code and Celestine Prophecy, shows like the X-files, movies like "Book of Secrets" and "National Treasure" --
Check out the Vatican NOW! ~
The Catholic Church went through some big changes during the Pluto in Sagittarius transit.
Anyhoo, this next Pluto transit, through Capricorn, will be a very interesting transit, because Pluto will actually oppose its own Natal Pluto in Cancer - Pluto was "Born" or discovered on Feb 18, 1930. During that time Pluto was in the sign of Cancer, which gave us expressions such as "American as Mom and Apple Pie" and World War II, which was all about the protecting the Fatherland and the Motherland. Theories about atomic particles were discussed in 1930, which lead to the splitting of the atom in 1938.
So Pluto is associated with huge transformations. This period of time with Pluto in Capricorn will also bring about a "Pluto Return" for the United States. Yes, the United States has a Birth Chart -- July 4, 1776!
And Pluto was in the Sign of Capricorn when our country was born - shaking up many structures of that time - religion, government, and personal self-determination.
Ironically, when our country was "born", the Sun was in the opposite sign of Cancer. Check out the blog before this on meaning of opposition between Sun in Capricorn and the Full moon in Cancer! This Pluto in Capricorn time will manifest itself as hundreds of times greater than that! The United States is a Cancer Sign Nation, with a current President (George W. Bush), who is ALSO a Cancer Sign, and somehow, as a country, we have always had this need to Mother the entire World. We need to shift our priorities, and start focusing on what we can do for the EARTH as our Mother. This may be the first time when we really see the entire world as our Home, and start loving and respecting one another.
And these planets -- Sun, Moon, Jupiter, and next Pluto -- in the sign of Capricorn are going to be fortelling a time of changing our role in the world. There will be great changes in our view of ourselves, our borders, our boundaries, and our government! Isn't it ironic that this is an Election Year? Pluto takes approximately 248 years to go around the Sun, sometimes spending 12 to 30 years in one sign!
Isn't it interesting that our founding fathers (who were Free Masons) also knew about astrology - the influence of the Stars is even seen on our nation's flag!
So, in SUMMARY, 2008 will be alot about Improving Your Health, Learning Patience, Finding What You are Commited To, Serving Others, Following God's Time, and Building Your Own New Structures of Reality.
I hope you do find and pray to a God of your own understanding,
whether it be in a Church, Temple, Mosque, or 12 Step Program.
God Bless You All!
More will be revealed!
Love,
Christina
