Full Moon In Sagittarius - I Seek To Know Who I Am
This week's full moon is in the sign of Sagittarius. which is the Astrological Sign associated with the phrase "I Seek."
I believe we are all seekers. We are all evolving souls seeking to know who we truly are.
Astrology is one of the tools by which we can understand ourselves and the world around us.

Remember: As Above, So Below!
So what has been happening lately in the stars?
We have just come out of a horrendous Mercury Retrograde.
Mercury is the planet of communication and travel and Retrograde is when Mercury appears to be going backwards.
This was in full swing when the Gulf Oil Spill began, The Volcanic Ash affected travel in Europe, and
floods and tornadoes hit Central USA, including my home town of Nashville, TN!

This Mercury Retrograde was aggravated by Pluto (the Planet of Destruction and Transformation) going through the sign of Capricorn (relating to Structures, land masses, and Governments) So Pluto continued it's journey this year by breaking up the earth plane in the form of earthquakes in Haiti and Chile).

Combined with these two, we also had Saturn (the planet related to Limitations and Restriction) Regtrograde (backwards) in Virgo (the Earth sign of order and service) opposing Uranus (the Planet of Storms and Sudden Changes) in the sign of Pisces (the Water Sign related to Floods, Oceans and Charities.)
I know this all sounds like a mouthful, but what it adds up to is a lot of chaos and disasters, which brought out the very best charitable nature in people! Yes, the Red Cross Volunteers were out in force.
I am so glad to live in Tennessee - "The Volunteer State"!

And now we have the FULL MOON!
So, are you feeling flooded with emotions, thoughts, ideas these days?
Are you overwhelmed by the flood of information coming at you from your Facebook, TV, Blackberry or I-phone?
Welcome to Kali Yuga! It has been said that In Kali Yuga, the Age of Darkness, which we are in now, chanting is one of most powerful ways to free the soul.
Whether you chant "Row, Row, Row Your Boat Gently Down the Stream, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Merrily, Life Is But A Dream" or "Kali Durge Namo Namah" Or "Om Namah Shivaya" --- chanting has a way of soothing the mind.
I strongly recommend spiritual music and chanting for calming your mind these days. One of my favorite chanting performers is Jai Uttal, and one of my favorite CDs that he is featured on is "The Spirit of Yoga". Yoga means "Union" and it certainly joins the mind, the heart and the soul. It was produced by Ben Leinbach and is on his website.

Also, a friend of mine in Nashville, Amy Barnes, who leads regular Kirtan (chanting) sessions, just recently finished her own album
called "Nandini - Daughter of Bliss" with Jai Uttal's producer Ben Leinbach. Check it out on her website.

And don't forget to send your love and blessing to all the waters of the Earth!
So, the Full Moon In Sagittarius asks "What are you seeking in your life? Are you focused outside or inside?"
Keep chanting!
More will be revealed!
