So Here we are again -- Coming up on the Summer Solstice - Solstice means "Sun Standing Still". 



Once Again, as it does every year, the Sun teeters in a seesaw between two signs, Gemini and Cancer.



Gemini is an Air sign and Cancer is a Water Sign.
Air is Light, Water is Emotional.
This is a time of balance between the Light and Dark,
The Masculine and The Feminine,
The Yang and Yin energy,



This will also be the longest day of the year and the shortest night.

It is also when Summer officially begins, and the days start getting shorter, heading towards the Winter Solstice.

Summer Solstice astrologically refers to the Sun entering 0 Degrees of Cancer, which is the 4th House of the Natural Zodiac.
 
Cancer relates to the Home, Nurturing, Self Care, The Past, Security, Food, The Stomach, and The Breasts. 
It is the place of the Divine Mother.   And like our mother, she wants to protect us.   And we in turn have to protect our Earth Mother.

Cancer also relates to CLEAR WATER, LAKES, RIVERS, STREAMS, SWIMMING POOLS.

Also, this Summer Solstice will be powerful because Sun in Cancer will be closing in on South Node in Cancer, which feels like a bottomless pit.  It seems like no matter how much energy we put in, it feels like it is going down the drain.  This will last about 2 weeks.

Then, this Sun in Cancer will be also be SQUARE (as in 90 Degrees of Tension)  to Uranus and Jupiter in Aries, and OPPOSING (180 Degrees like a Rubber Band) Pluto in Capricorn.  This will also last about 2 weeks.

Suffice it to say this next week will be a very tense time, but the open Leg of this T Square, which prevents it from being a big old GRAND CROSS, or a BOX,  is the sign of Libra, which means the solution to this tension in the Stars will be in the collective WE consciousness.  

So hold on to your partners, lovers, friends, relationships, and break away from trying to do everything alone.   In the 12 Step Programs, it says, "Together we can do what we can never do alone."  

Also, the Bible states "Whereever two or more are gathered, there I AM in the midst of you."

So, try to get along, even with the ones you normally don't get along with.

Also, remember that The United States was born on July 4, 1776, and is therefore a Cancer Nation by birth. 

Notice how we want to save the world, mother everyone, and yet protect our borders?  That's Cancer for ya!
