Happy New Moon in Gemini - Oh, And a Solar Eclipse!

New Moons are times for New Beginnings, when the Sun and Moon
come together in the same sign.

The sky is darkest at this time, but we feel the double energy of Sun and Moon coming together,
bringing a new birth of the issues related to the sign they are in.

Yesterday, Sunday, May 20th at approximately 7:45 PM EST,
the Sun and Moon also formed a Solar Eclipse,
when the Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun,
causing people to be ruled by their emotions,
and be in their head rather than their heart.

Below, the Top diagram shows what happens during a Solar Eclipse.
The Bottom diagram shows what happens during a Lunar Eclipse.

The sight of the Sun being blotted out
must have been very frightening for the ancient people's to see!

Gemini is the Sign of the Twins, and it's statement is "I Think."

Gemini also relates to the Dualistic nature of the Mind.

So, this could be a very "mentally active" time!

learning through our senses, and reading and writing.

Gemini is a mutable, Masculine, Yang, Air Sign and is a master

This is a very auspicious and powerful Full Moon in Scorpio, which takes place
on Saturday, May 5, (Happy Cinco de Mayo) at approximately 11:35 PM EST.

This Full Moon is in Scorpio, the sign exactly opposite the Sun in Taurus.

Scorpio is a Fixed, Yin, Water Sign.

In the Body, Scorpio is related to the Sex Organs, and the Rectum,
relating to Procreation and Elimination!

It's Statement is "I Desire" - so this would be a great time to
examine your desires, and make a wish!

The Full Moon in Scorpio can be Intense!

Taurus statement is "I Have" and is about personal values and possessions.

Scorpio's statement is "I Desire" and is about OTHER people's money -
Banks, Mortgage companies, Financial institutions, Wall Street, Taxes,
Inheritances, AND the Lottery!

Taurus is a Fixed, Feminine, Yin, Earth Sign.

Taurus statement is "I HAVE" -- and you CAN "have it all!"

Taurus is ruled by Venus, and it generally relates to our money and possessions, but
it is also about our Values.

So the question is, "Do You Want What You Have?"

When you truly appreciate and show gratitude for what you HAVE,
then Life is more peaceful, and one feels like the
peaceful little bull shown above.

The Buddha was also a Taurus,
And he went in search of peace and
gave up everything.

Then he went to the opposite extreme --
and almost died while starving his body!

Finally, when he achieved enlightenment,
he realized that God is in everything,
and that it is ATTACHMENT to things that causes suffering.

Some people think that security and happiness would come

But true happiness comes from within!

So, enjoy the peaceful beauty and abundance that is overflowing in Nature.

Happy Full Moon in Libra! Love Is In The Air!

Today, on this somber day of religious observation, Good Friday, April 6th,
we also have a Full Moon at 3:19 PM EST,
when the Sun in Aries will be exactly opposite the Moon in Libra,
creating one of the prettiest Full Moons of the year.

It is called the Pink Moon, probably due to the appearance of Pink Moss, one of the first flowers to
appear in Spring. We see them all over my area of TN and they are truly Spectacular!

So, this Full Moon is in Libra,
the sign of Marriage and Partnership and is ruled by the Planet Venus.

Venus is the Goddess of Love!

Libra's Statement is "WE ARE" or "I Balance"
and Aries Statement is "I AM".

So this Full Moon in Libra is about the "I AM" versus "WE ARE".

This time of year is particularly related to "Spring Fever" -
or falling in love, just as all trees, birds and
animals seem to explode with love and life.

It is also a time
for finding the balance between work and play,
being together and being alone,
being in the city versus going for a drive in the country,
surrounded by the beauty of nature.

Happy Spring! Happy New Moon in Aries!

New Moons are great for new beginnings.

This New Moon in Aries, which occurs on Thursday, March 22nd, at 10:37 AM EST,
also coincides with the beginning of Spring, the Ultimate New Beginning,
or Vernal Equinox, which took place this week on March 20th.

If you have been feeling slightly tired the past 2 weeks, chalk it up to the Waning (deflating) Moon, going from the Full moon in Virgo to the New Moon in Aries.

Also, if you are feeling stuck or like your life is going backwards,
welcome the latest MERCURY RETROGRADE,
which we will have until April 12th.

Mercury Retrogrades are NOT a time for new beginnings.

But you can use this time to prepare for some project you wish to begin after April 12th.

This is a great time to re-view, re-cycle, re-invent,
re-juvenate, re-connect, re-lax, and re-spect yourself!

Happy Full Moon in Virgo! Service to God and Humanity...and get ready for Mercury Retrograde!

This Thursday, March 8th, at 4:39 AM EST, a Full Moon will take place in the Sign of Virgo.

Since the Moon rules the tides of the earth,
the fluids of our body, the breasts, the stomach,
and our emotional natures,
this Full Moon might FEEL very big,
but since it is in the Mutable, Earth, Feminine,
YIN sign of Virgo, these feelings might be internalized.

Virgo's Statement is "I Analyze," so be careful
not to be too analytical and self critical during this time.

Virgo is Feminine, Yin Energy, Internal, Self-Sacrificing

The Pisces / Virgo opposition is sometimes known
as the "Serve or Suffer" Axis.

Being both Mutable signs, Pisces and Virgo
sometimes have a hard time with boundaries.

Pisces deals with deep hidden psychological fears,
addiction spiritual groups, and charities,
while Virgo is concerned with healing, cleaning,
service and menial tasks.

Virgo is generally related to the professions of Nursing,
Housekeeping and Office Work.

Virgo really prefers working behind the scenes and helping the underdog.

Virgo Is Happy To Serve!

I believe it is important to do Service, and get
out of yourself, but I also recommend
taking care of yourself, and resting, and watching your health,
especially what you are eating, since Virgo rules Health and the Colon.

Lastly, Virgo is ruled by Mercury, which is related to the mind and communication.
This week, on Wednesday, March 7th, Mercury starts slowing down to go retrograde,
(or backwards from our perspective here on Earth.) This is called the
"Mercury Storm." After that we will have 3 weeks of Mercury Retrograde! Oh, joy.

Happy New Moon in Pisces! The Ocean of Emotion!

This week, on Tuesday, February 21st, the Sun and Moon come together,
at 5:35 PM EST, to create a New Moon in the beautiful water sign of Pisces.

Along with the Sun and Moon,
Mercury, and Neptune are also still in the sign of Pisces.

Pisces is represented by two fish going in opposite directions.
One is swimming upstream, one is swimming downstream.

Below is the Glyph for Pisces. It looks like two mirrors being held together by a string.

Sometimes, it can feel like we are being split in two by our emotions.

In an older Blog on the New Moon in Pisces,
I wrote that, at this time of year,
I hear a great "AAAAAAhhhh" in the Universe,
like we are all taking a collective deep breath,
and releasing it like a huge sigh.

This could be a sigh of relief,
or a it could be a sigh of fear -
"AAGGGGHHH! - I can't take it anymore!"

So, Take a deep breath and let it out.... Let Go and Let God!

Pisces is a Yin, Feminine, Mutable, Water Sign and rules the Oceans -
it can sometimes bring up Oceans of Emotions.

It's statement is "I Believe" and it is connected with Spiritual Groups,
Ashrams, Retreats, and Monasteries.

In the Body, Pisces rules the Feet and the Blood, the Ocean in our Bodies.

Being the final sign of the Zodiac,
and ruling the 12th house of the subconscious mind, and dreams,
Pisces represents the end of the Sun's yearly cycle through the signs.

This is a time of going inside, just before the burst of new life
in the sign of Aries, which starts the Spring,
and the cycle of life starts all over again.

This is a great time to get in touch with the SILENCE -- to truly
"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD."

During this time of year, it is interesting that we have two very different Celebrations,
both relating to Pisces Issues - the Spirit -- and Spirits, (or Drugs and Alcohol).

One is a night of Spiritual worship, Mahashivaratri,
and the other is the world's most drunken party, Mardi Gras!

Being a mutable sign, Pisces has no boundaries,
so you can either lose yourself in God, or lose yourself in
some kind of addiction, such as Alcohol and Drugs.
Be careful with what you put into your blood at this time.

This week, on February 19-20th is also the
celebration of MAHASHIVARATRI,
the "Night of Shiva" --
a sacred time honoring SHIVA.

He is often seen with a tiny, crescent waxing or waning moon in his hair.

Shiva Nataraj (Dancing Shiva) expresses the 5 powers of God:

Creation, Sustenance, Dissolution, Concealment and Grace.

Every thought we have, every manifestation of life
goes through this cycle:

It is created, sustained, dissolved, then hidden,
and finally re-emerges as the Grace of enlightenment.

I have been using the OM NAMAH SHIVAYA mantra for many years.

OM NA-MAH SHI-VA-YA - is Sanskrit for "I Honor The Divinity Within All"

It is called the great 5 syllable mantra - OM plus NA MA SHI VA YA

Here is what Om Namah Shivaya looks like in Sanskrit :

This Mantra is amazing - It encompasses all the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space (Ethers).

OM    = The Universal Sound which all sounds emanate from.

NA     = Earth

MAH   = Water

SHI    = Fire

VA      = Air

YA      = Space - the Ethers

This Mantra truly helps still the Mind.

So, with so many planets in Pisces -
this is a great time for meditation!

The Sign of Pisces relates to Oceans,
whether they be the Oceans of the Earth,
or the Ocean of Consciousness, or GOD.

So, this is a great time to connect with the GOD of your understanding.

The next two weeks will be great for MEDITATION and doing VISION WORK.

Being in Nature helps you to connect deeply with your Inner Self.

Pisces is connected with the subconscious mind, the Dream World,
Visions, Intuition, and Spiritual Communities such as Monasteries and Ashrams.

Pisces also has to do with imagination.  Pisces and the 12th House
are also related to our Deepest Fears,
Addictions, Illusions and Deceptions of Human Consciousness.

Pisces and the 12th House ALSO reveals the Cures for these Dis-Eases -
Through 12-Step programs, Therapy and Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centers.

If you cannot get to a waterfall, a lake, or the ocean, then take a hot bath, drink hot tea,
and lose yourself in a good movie. Pisces also relates to losing one's EGO self.

Clear out some clutter and do some Spring Cleaning!

Do rituals that bring you joy - Chant, Burn Incense, Meditate.

Happy Full Moon In Leo! It's The Cat's Meow!

OK, OK, -- Maybe it is because I myself am a LEO, I consider this a special Full moon!

So, this Full Moon, when the Sun in Aquarius is exactly opposite the
Moon are in Leo, takes place at 4:54 PM EST on Tuesday, Feb 7th, 2012.

The sign of Leo is ruled by The SUN, and The Sun and Sign of Leo both
Rule the Heart, so this is a time to be Lion-Hearted and courageous.

And, along with the Sun in Firey Leo,
Venus, the Goddess of Love, will also be going into Aries,
another fire sign. So Hot Times this week!

LEO is a Fixed, Masculine, Yang, FIRE sign.

So, LEO likes to SHINE, whether on a world stage,
or in a concert in a stadium, or in their own private little Kingdom at home.

And did you know that Madonna is a Leo?

She put on quite a dramatic half time show at the Super Bowl!

I just recently got back from Universal Studios "Wizarding World of Harry Potter"
with my older sister Rama.

Yup - July 31st! which is also the birthday of JK Rowling (the author)

What a wonderful ride those movies and books have been.

I recommend going to Orlando, Fla, to this amusement park, just so you can
drink some non-alcoholic Butter Beer and Pumpkin Juice
at the "Three Broomsticks Restaurant" in Hogsmeade. Yum!

But my favorite part was going into "Olivander's Wand Shop," and having
us go in a small intimate group into a replica of the shop, and watching
a wonderful re-enactment of "The Wand Chooses the Wizard" using
a little girl from the audience named Grace. I'll bet she was thrilled
when she pointed her wand, and things moved all around the room!

Happy New Moon in Aquarius! Happy Chinese New Year!

Early on Monday Morning, January 23rd, the Sun and Moon came together at the same degree in the sign of Aquarius, thus forming a New Moon.

New Moons are good for New Beginnings in whatever sign they fall in.

The Sun just recently went into the sign of Aquarius,
which falls during the COLDEST time of the year.

The Statement for Aquarius is "I Know."

Since the cold winter months of the Northern Hemisphere
forces people to live by their wits, and develop greater survival skills,
and greater intellect, Aquarius is known as the sign
of mental brilliance.

It also rules Crystals, Snow and Ice.
We have just recently had a bunch of windy and snowy storms
blow through the United States!

Of course, many people think that Aquarius is a Water Sign
because it is called the "Water Bearer."

Actually, he is pouring knowledge into the ether.  Hence, AIR is related to
the Intellect, not watery emotions.

And, even though it's symbol sometimes looks like waves,
the sign for Aquarius is related to Lightning Bolts,
so it sometimes brings brilliant flashes of inspiration!

It is also associated with electronics, electricity, computers, the Internet,
Utopian societies and groups of people, and anything that is Way Out There,
like Star Trek!!

This past weekend, there was the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where the
latest and greatest gadgets are brought out.

Many new technologies are being developed. Since Aquarius has to do
with Wind, it is ironic that I just recently heard about Off Shore Wind
Technology.

And, -- sticking with what is way out there, Aquarius also Rules Astrology!

In the Body, Aquarius is connected with the Ankles and
the Nervous System, which is our own Electrical System.

Aquarius is the sign related to groups of people --
and one group effort that I have been participating
in is called "Winter Feast for The Soul" - a movement to
meditate for 40 days with others around the globe.

Happy Full Moon In Cancer! Oh, Mama Mia!

and is related to HOME and MOTHER,

And this Winter Solstice marks the one year countdown to the end of the Mayan
Calendar, on December 21st, 2012!

In Mexico, they are preparing year long celebrations, especially in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Many predict that this coming year will bring leaps in human consciousness as
never seen before.

Solstice means "Sun Standing Still" ----

On December 21st, we have the shortest day and the longest night of the year.

The ancients actually thought the Sun died at this time.

Then, as shadows grew longer every day, they celebrated the return of the Light.

This "Light Returning to Earth" influenced the Early Christians
to choose the Winter Solstice time of year to
celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ, who is considered
the "Light of the World."   Merry Christmas!

Many ancient sites around the world
celebrate the Solstices - Stonehenge,
Mayan temples, and especially in Newgrange Ireland,
where the Sun ONLY shines inside this cave during the Winter Solstice!

But what actually causes this phenomenon called the Winter Solstice?

The Sun enters the Sign of Capricorn, and hits the Tropic of Capricorn on the Earth.

Capricorn is an Earth, YIN, Cardinal Sign and is represented by Half Goat / Half Fish.
It's statement is "I Build" and is related to carpentry, business, and one's calling in Life, or Career.

In the Body, Capricorn relates to the knees, the bones, and the teeth.

On Christmas Eve this year, at approximately 1:06 PM EST,
the Sun and Moon will also come together in Capricorn to form a New Moon,
which is a time of new beginnings.

And, along with the Sun and Moon, Pluto is still in Capricorn,
so this New Moon will be about new beginnings related to Capricorn issues --
that is, Authority, Governments, Countries, Military, Corporations, Structures, Buildings, Etc.

We recently saw the end of the War in Iraq, which brought so many
soldiers home for Christmas - Yay!

Each year, Jazz Musician Paul WInter puts on
an amazing Winter Solstice Concert at St John The Divine
Cathedral in New York City.

You can hear the re-broadcast on National Public Radio.

One of my favorite parts is the "Howl-elluia Chorus" --
where everyone howls like a wolf,
and the sounds reverberate off the walls of this
huge cathedral.

And, since this is the darkest time of the year, it can be challenging to find the Light.

Listening to positive, uplifting music is great for the soul.

My CD, Travelin' Light, has many wonderful uplifting songs.

I also recommend that you keep your home fires burning,
burn Candles and Incense (especially Nag Champa and Frankincense)
and keep your Christmas lights turned on!

I also recommend some classes to help you deal with these planetary shifts
by Master Shaman Starr Fuentes, called "Light Language."

And, of course, the best way to deal with this Darkness
is to "seek the Light within".

Go within and find that core of Light within yourself,
and dwell in the peace and silence of the Inner Self.

Happy Full Moon In Gemini - So, What's Your Story?

This coming Saturday, December 10th, 2011, at 9:36 AM EST,
the Moon in Gemini will be exactly opposite the Sun in Sagittarius.

Gemini is the Sign of the Twins

Gemini is a Yang, Mutable, Air sign. It's statement is "I Think".

In the body, it relates to the Mind, the Eyes, the Ears, and the Lungs.

Gemini is ruled by Mercury.

Mercury, The Messenger of the Gods

Gemini relates to Communication, Travel, Writing, Siblings and Friends.

So, for the next two weeks, enjoy hanging out with your peeps!

And, if your mind is very active these days, chalk it up to the Full Moon in Gemini!

Full Moons are great for letting go of old stuff.
This is a great time of year to clear out the old to make room for the new.

And with Mercury still being Retrograde, (or going backwards from our point of view),
this is also a good time to review, reflect
and recharge your batteries, emotionally and physically.

In the past two weeks, during this Mercury Retrograde,
I have been involved in a car accident.
I have gotten sick.
I have let go lots of books, cassettes, videos, photos, paper, etc.
I have revisited some old friends.
I have relistened to some old music.
ALL TYPICAL MERCURY RETROGRADE EXPERIENCES!

One of my favorite Songwriters, who also happens
to be a Gemini (born June 5th, 1947), is Laurie Anderson.
She is still working as a performance artist.
She released her hit, "O Superman," back in 1981, and
this song still feels like a cutting edge song, even after 40 years!

So, while Mercury Retrograde is great for looking backwards,
it is not a good time for starting new businesses, and signing contracts.
Wait until the Mercury Storm has passed, after Christmas.

Remember, Mercury is the Trickster and the Court Jester!

So don't take your self too seriously.

Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Sun and New Moon In Sagittarius! And Oh, Yeah, And Mercury Retrograde - Again!

Ahhh, another New Moon, bringing the energy of New Beginnings!

This Friday, November 25th, 2011, at 1:10 AM EST, not only the Sun and Moon,
but Venus and Mercury as well, will all be in the Sign of Sagittarius.

Sagittarius is a Fire, Yang, Mutable Sign.
Mutable signs sometimes have a hard time with boundaries - and Sagittarius
is ruled by Jupiter, who really likes to over-indulge!

Sagittarius' Statement is "I Seek." It is generally associated with airplane travel, foreigners,
higher knowledge, and expanding one's horizons. In the body, it rules the thighs.

The sign Sagittarius creates a lot of enthusiasm and a sense of adventure,
which makes us want to run around like the half-man, half-horse.

Since this is the week of Thanksgiving, it is usually the biggest travel time of year.
But because of all the feasting, people may also be expanding on a different level.
Be sure to wear stretch pants!

Also, this coming Black Friday is the biggest SHOPPING day of the year, so it could bring
an expansion of your debt! Yikes.

Be sure to watch out that your eyes are not bigger than your stomach, or your wallet.

And speaking of eyes, and hands, and communication, these are all ruled by Mercury.

Mercury is going Retrograde officially on November 23rd, the day BEFORE Thanksgiving,
so be very careful with driving, speaking and do try to get to the airport a lot earlier than usual.

Can you say "Travel Chaos?" This year's Holiday Season is gonna be a doozie
with Mercury being Retrograde for the next 3 weeks.

However, Sagittarius is also a very expansive and positive sign. So, have FUN
-- and of course, Bring on the Feast!

It is NOT a good time for starting NEW jobs, NEW relationships, or signing

Happy Full Moon In Taurus! Letting Go Of The Old To Make Room For the New!

Happy Full Moon In Taurus!

This coming Thursday, at approximately 3:16 PM EST, the Moon in Taurus will be
180 degrees opposite of the Sun in Scorpio.

Taurus is a fixed, YIN, Earth Sign.

Taurus usually relates to Money and Values,
and Taurus' statement is "I Have" or "I Possess" --

(Reminder from my last blog: Scorpio's statement is "I Desire")

When you truly appreciate and show gratitude for what you HAVE,
then Life is more peaceful, and one feels like the
peaceful little bull shown above.

So the question is, "Do You Desire What You Have?"

Full Moons are great for letting go of old stuff, so I am letting go of alot
of things that no longer serve me.

Below is another peaceful expression of Taurus.

Besides the Full Moon in Taurus, there is another celestial event taking place
this week.

A very large Asteroid is traveling between the Earth and the Moon.

Although it poses no danger to Earth physically,
I believe there is a spiritual significance to this Asteroid.

Since the Moon rules our emotions, something large coming
between the Earth and the Moon could have the effect
of throwing our emotions and our sense of connection out of balance.

On top of that, we are beginning the Mercury Storm, leading up
to the next Mercury Retrograde on November 23rd. Mercury Retrograde,
of course, affects communication.

And, since Taurus is associated with the Throat Chakra,
the question becomes, "Are you speaking your Truth these days?"

I once wrote a very edgy, hard-rock, Taurus-type song
with my co-writers called "Give Me What I Want."

Although we wrote it years ago,
this song seems to be right in line with the
Occupy Wall Street Movement, as well as the
current state of the world, especially Greece and Italy.

It seems as though a LOT of people are speaking
their truth!

Now, many people think that security and happiness would come
from standing on a pile of money.

But this picture shows Life is lonely and dry at the top
if we are only motivated by financial wealth.

Especially when we see the World Financial markets in crisis,
we recognize that true security does NOT come
from this outside wealth.

So, this is also a time to let go of old belief systems, concepts, reality
structures, and safety nets.

And this same week, on Friday, 11/11/11, many are choosing to do
a global meditation together to connect on a higher level.

Happy Full Moon in Aries - "I Am" versus "We Are"

Ok - so this week, we are going to have another "HOT" Full Moon -
Hot on the Insides, that is --
even though the weather is getting chilly outside --
this Full Moon takes place on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 10:06 PM EST.

And as we say each month, Full Moons occur when
the Sun and the Moon are in opposite signs.
So, right now, the Sun is in the sign of Libra (The Sign of Relationships),
and the Full Moon will be in the sign of Aries, (The Sign of Self Expression).

So the skies truly become a battle ground --
or a see-saw, between the "I AM" consciousness and "We Are" consciousness.

        Aries - The Ram

Both of these signs are Cardinal, Yang, Positive Outgoing Energy,
even though Aries is ruled by Mars,the God of War,
and Libra is ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love.

Aries is Cardinal Fire - Libra is Cardinal Air.
So, they both like to start something new and come up with new ideas!

         Libra - The Balance

Also, Uranus (the planet of change and rebellion)
is in Aries right now, and perhaps it is stirring up the excitement and movement of
unexpected rebellions, like the "Occupy Wall Street" Movement
going on in New York City these past weeks.

And with the Sun, Saturn, and Mercury all sitting in Libra, the sign of others,
there is definitely a kind of "me versus them" attitude in the air.

                                    ARIES

This is a time of year for clarity in our relationships.

With Saturn in Libra, Saturn likes things to be serious, realistic, and committed.
(So, flings and affairs are not in the stars right now!)

This Full Moon in Aries is also the 29th Lunar Anniversary of the Mahasamadhi
of my beloved teacher, Baba Muktananda.

Baba was a great Siddha Guru whose main teachings were
"See God In Each Other" and "God Dwells Within You As You."

How perfect that he chose the Aries Full Moon to take
Mahasamadhi (which is to consciously leave his body during the "I AM" Full Moon!)

Also, relating to this "I AM" Consciousness, or the Higher Self, one of my favorite stories
is from the Bhagavad Gita, where Krishna (God)
describes the nature of The Self.

Krishna had incarnated as a man and was playing the role of a charioteer to Arjuna, a mighty warrior.

So, there they were, just sitting in the middle of a battlefield (think Gettysburg to the max!)
and all of a sudden, Arjuna, this brave warrior, becomes terrified and too afraid to fight his enemies,
because he can see their faces, and knows that they are his relatives and his teachers!

Krishna tells Arjuna to relax, and that that the Self (atman) of all beings, including the other warriors
on the battlefield, is indestructible.

My favorite quote is:

"Fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, and wind cannot dry it.
It is this Self that passes from body to another body
like a person taking worn out clothing and putting on new ones."

So, again, this Full Moon in Aries basically says,

Be the Perfect Self that you ARE,
beyond identity with
"I am a man, or I am a woman,
I am old, I am young. I am rich, I am poor."
Leave all these labels behind and just BE.

Happy New Moon in Libra! Life in Balance

I apologize for not getting this out sooner. My life has gotten so busy lately that I even had to borrow
a lot of last year's blog on the New Moon in Libra, with some current updates.

Happy New Moon in Libra~! Happy New Beginnings!
This New Moon took place on Tuesday Sept. 27, 2011 at 12:41 AM EST.

A new moon, of course, is when the Sun and the Moon come together to form a
partnership in the same sign. That is why there is no Moon visible for a few days.

And at this time of year, the Autumnal Equinox just took place, creating that
balance between light and dark, night and day, hot and cold, summer and winter.

And Libra is THE sign of Relationships, Partnership and Marriage. It's Statement is "I Balance."

All relationships are a balancing act of giving and receiving.

The sign of Libra is ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love.

Since Libra is a Cardinal Air Sign, it loves sharing new thoughts and ideas -
so, Walkin' and Talkin' is Libra's Thing!

And since Libra's Statement is "I Balance" -- well, bike riding is another nice way to get together!
Fall is a beautiful time for a bike ride...

Also, in order to get that relationship going, we need poetry!

Full Moon in Pisces - Flooded by Emotions

Another Full Moon! This one takes place on Monday, Sept 12, at 5:27 AM EST.

This Full Moon will be in Pisces, the sign related to the Ocean.

And this Full Moon feels like an Ocean of Emotions!

Especially during this solemn 10th Anniversary of 9/11, there are lots of emotions coming up --
Fears, Grief, Loss, Anger, Gratitude, Surrender... I hope all of you are just
being gentle with yourself and giving yourself a big hug.

Below is the Glyph for Pisces. It looks like two mirrors being held together by a string.

Sometimes, it can feel like we are being split in two by our emotions.

The Sign of Pisces is two fish going in opposite directions.
One is swimming upstream, one is swimming downstream.

So, if you are feeling pulled in two different directions during this
Full Moon, now you know why!

Pisces is a Yin, Feminine, Mutable, Water Sign.

Pisces rules the Subconscious Mind, Dreams and Intuition.

Pisces' statement is "I Believe."
So this is a time to ask "What Do You Believe?"

Our beliefs are what drive our lives.

Pisces is also associated with Spiritual Groups,
Ashrams, Retreats, and Monasteries.

So, this is a great time to get in touch with the SILENCE -- to truly
"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD."

In the Body, Pisces rules the Feet and the Blood, the Ocean in our Bodies.

Being a mutable sign, related to the Ocean, Pisces has no boundaries,

some kind of addiction, such as Alcohol and Drugs.

The Sign of Virgo is concerned with healing, cleaning,
service and menial tasks.

Virgo is generally related to the professions of Nursing,
Housekeeping and Office Work.

Virgo really prefers working behind the scenes and helping the underdog.

Virgo Is Happy To Serve!

I believe it is important to do Service, and get
out of yourself, but I also recommend
taking care of yourself, and resting, and watching your health,
